Candyflip at Benny Benassi

This last weekend Benny Benassi came into town. Being one of my favorite DJ's, I quickly convinced my friend H (who does no drugs but doesn't mind if others do them) to accompany. Our mutual friends M and S also decided to come along. H, being the awesome guy he is, offered to DD, so M and S wanted to roll, and I decided I'd finally try candyflipping.

We soon aquired our illicit substances and were ready to go. Unfortunately, M invited one of her friends without consulting the group, and we ended up waiting two hours for him, so we didn't arrive at the show until ten. Much later than I had wished, but I dropped 1.5 hits of cid about a half hour before arriving. M and S decided to take their rolls right as we went end, despite being told that they wouldn't be peaking by the time benny came on at 1, but it was their first time rolling at a rave, so I was somewhat understandable.

As we get in, one of the local DJ's in killing it. H and I quickly get lost in the crowd dancing it up, while S, M, and M's friend go chill waiting for the roll to kick in. During the comeup, I get a little nervous, since M has only rolled once before and had a TERRIBLE experience. It may be selfish, but I really did not want to spend the night babysitting her. Finally, around 11, the cid kicks in. I'm feeling great, lights are more vibrant, and the music sound phenom. Steez & Loki, two of SLC's sickest, are laying down one of the best sets of the night.

About 11:30 we meet up with the others. M vomited and is feeling not great, but pulling through. I took half a roll (I find that if I take a whole one, I feel great, but don't remember the night, which sucks ass), and gave the other half to M's friend. We chill, calming M down, and waiting for my roll to kick in. At 12, it happens. Colors get super vibrant, I feel better than I've ever felt in my life. I look at H and say, "We needa go dance!". The others decide to join us this time. Now Nate Metro is on, and it may be because I just started peaking, but I'd say he had the best set of the night. It just made your body want to move.

At 12:54, Benny comes on stage, and they set off massive fireworks, better than what my town had set up for the 4th of july even. Fireworks, especially ones that change colors, are a must for tripping. Then Benny heads right into his set with a remix of MGMT's Kids. The lighting was done profess and was putting me on another level. I had the grid hella bad, which I was enjoying immensely. After this, he plays a remix of Satisfaction, and the whole crowd was jumpin when this came on. Just to give you an idea, there were about 9000 people at this event, so the ground was shaking to say the least. At this point, I was in my own world, dancing however the music made me move. I think it was pretty obvious I was on drugs. By 130 it seemed alot of the crowd was thizzed out (inlcuding my friends S and M), but H, myself, and M's friend were still dancing hard.

Benny played an ill set. Red Hot Chili Peppers, "I am a DJ", and so many other sick songs. But we left early at 230 since M looked like she was about to pass out. Got back to my house around 4, and I was still tripping pretty hard. However, since I was so physically exhausted, I managed to pass out right then. Prob the greatest party night of my life. I wish I had been able to drop the roll at +4hrs instead of just +1.5 after the acid, but I still had an amazing experience, and remembered the night. So if your plannin on hittin a rave anytime soon, I'd def reccomend candyflipping. Way better than rolling, and better than tripping by itself as well.

I am planning on doing it again in about a week on a more meditative trip and will be sure to let ya'll know how it goes.

Word of warning tho, IT IS ALOT OF FUN. After hippyflipping, I felt pretty worn out and didn't want to do it again immediately, but with this, I had to work very hard not to take my other 1.5 hit and roll pill that I had the next day.
