I would agree, because of it's availability and social acceptance. Many people become alcoholics just thinking that they are just partying like all of their friends.
When you're stealing for dope, at least you know you're a junkie =P

Agreed aspirin is toxic as a muhfucker and has no medicinal value, at least for me and a bunch of people. Tell the drug czar that one.

I saw an article comparing a hundred ways that aspirin is horrible for you and 100 medicinal benefits marijuana has. Very good.

??? Its not like its a bad thing. That would be like trying not to eat burgers your whole life so that you can tell your kids that you made it through life without eating a burger and that its not that hard of a thing to avoid doing.

they know its toxic.. that's why the FDA is looking to ban Vicodin and Percacet.. and just prescribe Hydrocodone and Oxycodone

in those cases, acetaminophen is used as a deterrent for abuse, because people tend to puke their guts out or die if they ingest too much of it...it's like a shady way of keeping peoplefrom doing recreational drugs - not like they are trying to poison people

Did a quick google search, couldn't find it in the first 5 pages and gave up, sorry dude.
But there were tons of articles on there about marijuana vs aspirin and how much safer marijuana is.
I thought this one was rather interesting.

Agreed. Marijuana is the best remedy in the world for depression. It doesn't give you the illusion that your problems are gone, like alcohol and other drugs do. Instead, it helps you to deal with your problems in more productive/constructive ways and opens the mind to new ways of looking at your life.

Yeah they should just hand out pure oxy and hydros, not like they don't make 5mg immediate release versions of both. I would feel much better being prescribed pure substance. Fuck it if they can be abused, they also work the best.

Agreed x2. Marijuana is the only thing that has ever helped me with depression. Not that I'm particularly depressed, at least not anymore. But if I'm having a shitty day, all I need is a nice toke. Sure, my problems are still there. But I deal with them in a much much better way. I hate when people look down on you for using marijuana as an anti-depressant.. as they pop their daily dose of prozac.

exactly, you arent running away from your problems when you are high - in fact it allows for a more relaxed, level-headed (even though my head is in the clouds :sifone:) perception on my issue - instead of one altered by my depression...it's almost as if marijuana gives me a brief "outside" look on my own life, and after a day it is nice to have a reflection of whats up in the head.

    Yep. Nature's anti-depressant.

About 9-10 years ago, I was diagnosed as being clinically depressed and I was also failing ALL of my classes in high school, including PE. Then I started going to class stoned and I began getting better grades and I wasn't nearly as depressed. My grades went from all F's to all A's and B's. Marijuana helped me concentrate on my classwork better and everything. The therapist I had back then even credited marijuana for my overall improvement.

Eggzakly:sifone: Weed helps you see the silver-lining in everything, as opposed to the non-stoned pessemism. lol
