Good to know! I'm gonna write them down so I dont' forget.

I see your a side stage dancer yourself. Room for the hoop? :) I'm hoopless at the moment, so gonna go try and find a store that will just sell me a X amt of feet of tubing. ALl our shit is stored away for our move. But I still have my tape out.

Btw, I have seen Wasabi since moving out west. They played a show in Banff two winters ago and the fam and I went to go see them. :) Fun Fun Fun. :) They are one of the few bands that have traveled out east and I think I have seen them maybe five times now. Hubby likely more.

Also, this is a bit off topci, but there is such a difference in teh "scene" out west as opposed to out east and I think I will see even more evidence of this at Shamb. Basically, the east coast scene is full of plain jane kinda hippies. Lots of handmade clothes with few accessories... lots of old clothes just bein worn to cover thier body and no styel. Now, the west coast is very different. It seems ppl are more apt to dress funky while hippie/boho like. I noticed this when Wasabi came to the east.. their style of dress as well they always had a hooper on stage with them... where as in the east, there are rarely visual performances along with the music.

At the last evolve I went to, I wore my wings and I had ppl coming up to me months after asking if I as the girl there with wings. lol Now... let's compare that to Sham.... It's more like "we're you the girl that was only wearing jeans and a tshirt?" lol

Hmm, sorry for the ramble. Just so excited and something I wanted to share with someone.

Have ya checked out their website? shambhalamusicfestival.com There are tons of pics to give you an idea of what to expect. Costumes and crazy clothing is a must for Shambhala. :D Or on the flip side, nudity is totally acceptable & encouraged. ;)
I'll have about a dozen hoola hoops to share; I organized a hoop workshop on Thursday @3pm by the message board.
    I'm sooooo excited!!!!

I woke up from a creepy recurrant dream, which scares the crap out of me even more when it starts happening more than once, oh well since its already the afternoon I decided not to go back to sleep and maybe go have a walk downtown, but my knees is acting up, so I will still go and suffer some other day

Today I went woke up at seven and went garage sailing. It's like a freakin' sport here..
    We didn't spend any money,
this town is on a trading system mostly. We traded a baby bed for a leaf blower, then the blower for a TV, and the TV for a picture for our house....etc.
    Fun stuff.

Then I went and visited my mom and my brother at my grandparents house.

    That's stinky HDH :(

Yes, I have watched every video on the site. :) Which brings me to this question. The site says they are very strict on alcohol, yet in one of the videos, there a dude drinking beer front and center of the stage. Can you share your thoughts on this.

And thanks for the hula hoop offer!! :) I have not been this excited for myself in a VERY long time. It's like hubby and I just met... really weird.. all giggly with the thought of it being there... lol. So lame. I like that costumes are welcome. Does your dh dress up? Mine wouldn't. But he'll be out there hula hooping with glowsticks. haha

Alcohol is not permitted at Shambhala, but people manage to sneak it in. The biggest problem with booze is glass bottles; the site is a working cattle ranch and broken glass can cause alot of expensive injuries to the cows. I personally wish that everyone could just leave the booze at home; it kinda throws the vibe off a bit.

My hubby won't be dressing up much this year; I didn't have time to finish his wizard cloak. He will be rocking his top hat and furry bear costume at the very least. :)

    Sooooo excited!!!

some fests just don't allow glass containers, most people abide in that case and bring cans. I think that actually is more effective than saying no booze at all because then people sneak in glass and aluminum...

course I like booze so I'm biased.

I am up early as fuck because I am a retard, going to go to the sunday market in town and try and find something worth buying, or just get a baked spud from the van and begrudge the cost of parking. I did hear tell of a massive car boot 2 junctions down the M42, which is about 15 minutes drive, but i'll be lucky if it's still on.
