do you shave your toes? mostly guys i would guess. i do have some hair on my toes. not like a Hobbit or anything but some. do you think if you pretty up your feet with shaving and nicely cared for nails it would be more accepted? Yhote
Nope, I don't shave 'em. Since I am sort of a bear-ish person, when it comes to body hair, it doesn't make that big a difference... And people tend not to gape at my feet for the hair on my toes or the top of my feet, but because they are bare... and the toe rings also are an eye-catcher adding to it. I used to shave, then I tried waxing....now I have so few hairs that I just pluck them out with tweezers. Yeah, I have no problem with hair anywhere else, but for some reason on toes they look outta place to me. Hairless toes for the win!
No I don't shave my feet at all. Being barefoot is a natural thing to me. So why would I want to shave them and defeat the purpose of doing a natural thing? Just doesn't seem right to me. But to each his own.
I do. At least some. As in, I remove "the too much" if that makes any sense. Too much is too much, at least for my taste. Mostly OFF my feet and toes, but as far as my legs go, I only remove the too much. Look and feel cleaner that way. I'm not the bearish sort. Some people I know are.
I do go for the pedicure maybe 3 times/year, starting in late winter as we head toward what passes for spring in this region. I'm overdue for my second one now.
i go for pedicures too, just had one the other day, i do shave my feet also, if they are out in public, they should look clean shaven, just my opinion.
I've had a couple of pedicures and really enjoyed them. The bummer is that there are very few places that cater to men only. Sure the women's places will give a pedicure to a guy, but I feel sorta weird sitting next to a woman while getting the treatment. My stepdaughter gets pedicures frequently and commented that she was seated next to a guy one day during the procedure. She also said it was kinda strange from her perspective. There's a chain called Rooster's Grooming Centers (www.roostersmgc.com) that caters to men only. I went to one, and the woman performing the pedicure got a bit too aggressive buffing my heel and sanded the back of my heel till it was raw! I thought it was pretty superficial at the time, but it scabbed and took awhile to heal. I tried going to a different Roosters location, but they only offered the barber services, not the full suite advertised on the corporate website.
I don't know why a guy getting a pedicure would seem strange. The way I see it is guys have to take care of their feet too, most men don't know to properly groom their feet, so why not have an attractive woman do it for you? Guys normally neglect their feet, that's why most don't want to see their calloused heels and untrimmed toenails. During the warmer months there are lots of men wearing sandals and flip flops, it only makes sense that their feet look presentable. I don't pay much attention to men's feet, but I have seen better looking feet on males than some of their female counterparts.
I don't have an issue with a guy getting a pedicure, I've done it myself a couple of times and loved it!! I'm just not crazy about doing it in a setting that caters to women. Perhaps it's just my own hang-up. I had a similar reaction about 30 years ago when I first went to a female hair stylist versus a male barber. Eventually I got over it. As far as the hair stylist, I sorta like being able to make an appointment and know who I'll be seeing and when versus barber shops which tend to be "luck of the draw." There are some men's-only places for legitimate spa treatments (i.e., pedicures). One in Phoenix, Dulce Barber, recently closed. There's one in Denver, Gentleman's Quarter's, but it's very pricey. The place I mentioned previously, Roosters Men's Grooming Center, is reasonably priced, but I left bleeding as noted.
