Good rant, I particularly liked the thing about "you claim self reliance is best...but you take the most money while paying the least, while blue states pay the most and get the least" That was the best part.

Still, it's not like everyone in the south is a Republican, keep that in mind. Many have a majority, but not a totality, as it were. So lets keep the hate to a minimum level of annoyance, eh?

Seriously though...I'm from South Carolina...just look how purple it is! I see most of the red in the midwest. The south nearly matches everywhere else. As a whole, no, we're not liberal, but we're not quite RED either. We're actually just about half and half.

I admit, we're damn slow...but if it was as hot up there as it is down here, you'd have a lazy day every day too....nah, Y'ALL'D have a lazy day

 

Why do people single out the south when there were just as many Red states outside of the south? Just count them. Plus,Kerry didn't make a good effort to even get votes in the south.

I don't know what part of SC you're from, sister, but around my neck of the woods, it doesn't get any redder. Our lovely new state Senator (Jim DefuckingMint) doesn't think single mothers or homosexuals should be allow to teach in school!!! He also thinks girls who are raped by their fathers should be forced to have their babies. Every SUV at my daughter's elementary school has "SC is GOP Country" bumper stickers. And my neighbor when I was a kid was a pastor's family. His wife told my mom (when we had moved in) that the school district was great, except for the niggers. A preacher's wife!! I agree wholeheartedly with Ellis's post....fuck it all! I wish I could move.
