Well,,at one time I was more of an "activist". I was ready to be incarcerated rather than go kill people for some "national interest". Now, I'm more motivated by self-preservation than I once was. I don't want "the man" getting all up in my face. I'm not too comfortable with the use of proxies,,at least not at this point. I'm more of a coward now,,or perhaps it's just that if I take a risk, it has to be an "informed" risk, a "measured" risk. Not something stupid and blind. I'm no martyr.
For now. AT&T isn't convinced. it's a test, this very night at least four other ISP's have test blocked parts of 4chan, or 4chan entire. they're doing market testing. AT&T is doing a lot of that lately, reno is being used as a testbed for bandwidth capping in DSL. it's going to get much worse before it gets better, and I think AT&T hit a beehive with a stick covered in honey for the express purpose of getting justification for further tests.
only if you know how to circumvent the block. esp. if both of the ISP's in your town (being that most cities in the u.s. only have one or two broadband options, and even then, usually, at best, only one good one <reno has three options, all of them are shit>) are blocking.
I doubt it, it seems like you can't access the website with your service and it doesn't have to do with your IP address... but I could be wrong.
