People are just stupid to believe that Inmates spend 22hrs a day inside their cells.. Fact is, inmates are only locked up about 12hrs , the rest of the time they would be in line movements, work, yard, programs, school...
only Death row inmates spend 22hrs a day in their cells..

 

damn, why the fuck would you have death row inmates never get to go outside?

 

it really depends on the prison.. if its max security.. inmates usually get 1-2hrs of out of the cell time.. in which they are put into another cell that is outside.. sometimes they are as big as a basketball court.. other times its something 5'X5'.. depends on the prison.. lower security prisons allow inmates to basically roam all day long... or work/pray/learn until lockdown(bedtime).. some prisons are also as simple as individual cubicle type cells.. where there are no bars.. just 4' tall walls in between each inmates bunk and "cell area".. i've seen cells that allowed foot lockers that were FULL i mean FULL of food.. tv's.. cd players.. headphones.. depending on the prison.. some inmates have it better than they do on the outside..

personally i think all prisons should be complete hell.. chaingang style.. concrete walls with little holes for viewing.. 3 meals a day.. 1hr of free time.. and NO personal goods.. why make a prison feel like a getaway to these criminals who are only going to recommit crimes to get free rides
