It would be tough for a cop to know what you had was acid, LSD has no oder, I have never heard of any drug dogs or anything of that sort being able to be trained to find it. i mean if you have 50 little blotters with a crazy design on them, they may suspect if they see them, but it is pretty easy to hide. If you had it in a vile or something like that, even easier, for all they know it really is Visine. If you are smart and careful the risk is minimal, but it depends on what border you are trying to cross, some border checks are more thorough then others,
Dude , if you knew how to make lsd you could put it in water bottles so it looks like water and take it right over the border. Easy as pie. Lsd could be huge if people did this a lot. I bet some people are doing this. It isn't really that hard to think up. But also it could just be being made here anyway without having to cross borders , but I'd think it would be a lot easier to do in Mexico or something. Anyone a chemist?
