This past weekend in London we celebrated London Pride. Unfortunately I missed it this year but from the looks of my FB feed and word of mouth there were many protesters out this time around. I personally didn't see any last year ( though there might have been some ) but I did experience harassment from a few idiots just because I was holding a girls hand. I have a short temper so this sort of thing pisses me off but I thought these guys did a good job at dealing with the protesters. and my fav... the lil old lady. I guess my question is, how do you deal with these sorts of encounters? Do you lash back, ignore them, laugh it off etc? *Just thought I would share the pix*
Yeah, people only see what they want to see. What if one of those gals holding the placards had there marriage end after 10/20 years cos the hubby ran off to shack up with a guy. Wouldnt they be allowed to be a little pissed off with the whole subject matter? To a gal like that the "homosexuality" she is referring to is really more about bisexuality, guys married to girls running around doing other guys in secret. The guys holding the lol signs look like lifers, different kind of homosexual (one thats not going to ruin a girls hopes in the process) , she doesnt know or care about the difference between gay / bi, never going to really understand. So its like some battle that really doesnt exist in the first place. The type of guy holding the lol sign isnt the type of guy she is getting angry at. Notice how you never see placards that say "Bisexuality is a sin" "God hates Bisexuals" or even better "My Daddy shouldnt suck cocks"
its funny how the conservative wackjobs beileve something from the same book that says its also a sin to touch a menstrating women, and shave the sides of your beard.
Yeah, but I'm pretty sure to them, bisexual & gay is all clumped into the same category. Good point though VG
If close attention is paid to etymology (which is the history of the meaning of words) The Bible's stance on homosexuality is not so clear For anyone struggling with this Issue, the Internet is full of work done by Scholars, theologians, linguists and Historians that show how the Bible has been Malleable, how God's word has been open and changed by the subjective interpretations of people throughout the ages. The History of language is something that should not be Ignored.
