This is one of the best punk/new wave records I've ever heard, and isn't nearly as appreciated as it should be. This could be compared, to some degree, to the Talking Heads but it has more of a punkish bite. The rythm section swings like crazy, locking into tight and unconventional grooves, providing a consitently funky rhythm that is luckily quite high in the mix. Over that the guitar plays choppy, punkish riffs and the vocals are shouted (highly cold, political lyrics delivered in a thick English accent). Basically, it sounds a bit like Can mixed with the Clash, but the result meshes together well, and the marriage of dancey drum patterns and bass lines with savage riffage works quite incredibly.
