This would be my first time changing fields. I have an offer on the table from a top real estate firm in the state. I am undecided if I am willing to take the temporary pay loss to make the switch. How many times have you changed careers in your life? From what to what?
Thank you for your concern I have severe reservations myself This is a very prestigious company That is the only reason I am considering their offer I was more interested in your answers though to the topic
Well, being that I haven't had a 'career' yet, just jobs I can tell you that it IS hard to find good work right now. If you're leaving a sound job where you're making bank, then it would be a tough decision. For me, at least. I'd say if it's something you're interested in and you think there's a future with and for the company, then go for it. I would be apprehensive about Real Estate or Car Sales right now, but I would be about switching to any other job also. It's an unstable time.
well the only career i had was as a veterinary technician for about 4 years. i left because a-it's hard to find a good dr. to work for & b-the physical aspect was too much for me. now i am a receptionist and am in my last year of college. i miss the animals.
I have changed careers several times. Sometimes it was right, other times, not so good. Adapting to change is a good thing. But just make sure this real estate thing is what you really want to do.
It is not that I have a passion for real estate I am somewhat bored with my current career This would utilize my people skills while providing a new challenge
Never had a career. Had loads of jobs, though. Never found anything I liked. Do it if you want to. It'll be something different, it's not good to be bored.
Well most Real Estate careers are in sales. This usually mean straight commission. That means no sales, no paycheck. That being said you can still make a fortune in real estate. You just need a network. That takes about a year or so to make. But you did not say what this involved. So I could be totally incorrect.
American you are correct No sale means no money No sale actually means money going out due to fees I work a similar position now The difference is no sale means they pay me They just verbally abuse me when it happens that way If it happens enough they ask me to stop coming to work for them
Boredom is the pits Safety is nice though I have a good customer base I just get tired of seeing the same customers
I am in finance consultation I am bored with the routine Same customers all the time Lose one then gain one then see them over and over
ahahaha, well, if it will make you happier and you have no family to insure security, I say do it. real estate sales is a damn tough market these days. You would be undertaking much risk.
