Looking Back Over The Years, There Is Very Little I Would Change. I Managed To Strike A Balance Between Having Nice Things And Saving For The Future...*by working three jobs (at the same time) for many years*. I Don't Owe Anybody One Single Cent, And When Land I Have Had On The Market For The Last Six Months Finally Sells*fingers crossed* Then I Want To Travel, Build Myself A New Home, And Buy Myself A Big Red "Boys Toy".... I Am Firmly Of The Opinion, That Every Boy At Some Stage In His Life, Should Have A Big Red Toy......:cheers2:. Cheers Glen.
I'm way better with money than my parents...that's for certain. I always keep enough money in my savings to pay my rent for two months in case something comes up. I also always try to keep my credit card amount less than my savings if I ever want to pay it off straight, but I got hit with an unexpected surgery (add to that no medical insurance) and I had to pay it on my card. I'm slowly paying it back, but I had a freak-out this morning because my landlord cashed my post-dated check four days too early and I just got hit with hella overdraft fees. And this is the first time I've seen the term "overdraft" in relation to any of my checking/savings accounts...EVER. It just seems like the more responsible I get with money, the more I get hit with outrageous charges. I really don't understand. At all. When I was making bank in San Francisco, the only bill I had was rent and NOTHING else ever came up. Now I make a measly penny and everyone is after me. /sigh
