Only because I'm in a council flat. Any other flat and we'd have been turfed out.

I own a small online business with a biz partner and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I truly believe that I have the best job of anyone. I can do work anywhere I have a connection. :) However, that is only worked around the hours of me being the full time care giver to my two kiddos.

Ya, the economy is getting me down HUGE. If we sold our house, I don't konw if we'd see any effect, but right now... with the market not moving in our area, it is a bit scary.

Unemployed, =( getting my bartending license in a couple weeks to try and find something fast n get cash quick, and had a couple interviews at some doggy day cares, because they allow dreads and i been doing it for 4 years, and i absolutely love working with dogs. We'll see i guess, some bartending jobs dont want anything to do with a dread head though, and some dont mind.. the dreads definitely make it a lot harder getting hired.

i think the whole "dreads make it harder to find a job" a weak excuse. if you hav the skills, experience, and personality, nobody will look at your locks.

Thats totally untrue, i have been told to cut or brush my locks and i can have the job, i was a supervisor of a restaurant and when i went and applied for a measly waitstaff position they said that they had to come out, and they have to stay looking professional and that dreadlocks where unprofessional, even a freaking bowling ally said the same thing two days ago when i applied. Weak excuse my ass, its the damn truth.

well, it's obvious you don't want to go for some minimum wage customer service type job, duh. there are plenty of other industries out there.

Oh i know but i need money now, because i was let go at my last job and im under investigation for up to 21 days with unemployment. I have no money and my hubby is doing the best he can to support us, i need to get cash fast, but seems no one wants a dread head serving them there supper.. I have applied and have has some interviews for some top quality animals jobs, but who know's im still waiting to hear from them. I'm also going to school for Criminal justice because i want to Join the SPCA, wonder if they will let me have Dreads:confused:

But after the whole restaurant thing and no dreads allowed, im defiantly going for the bartending license to get quick cash. My class is 2morrow and i go to city hall tues, and hopefully get my temp in 7 days. Then my actual one sept. 1st.

I just have one more year of school left..

I'm a wannabe photographer, or maybe just a lazy one. I'm kind of freelancing it, but not really. I want to write books.

I run an open air produce stand.... get to juggle various perishables for kids and eat shitloads of fruit and veg for free.

I also am a full time student working on a Bachelor of Science in Conservation (it's biology-type degree with geology/geography/chemistry mixed in). I was working in a lab playing with insects and sorting them under a microscope and hope to continue in the fall.

btw, viewing the innards of my dreads under the microscope was SWEET. I need to hook up a usb camera next time I'm in there.

apply in tgi fridays, if they have the same cocktail menu as in ireland then it should have a picture of a waitress with dreads on the front, they dont have a leg to stand on :)
