Hey I found an internet radio station that plays old recordings of WABC from NYC. It's actually pretty cool except the quality's not that great. They play recordings of all of WABC's great DJ's from the 60's (Dan Ingram, Cousin Brucie, ect). Check it out!

I find it sounds better if you equalize the windows media player as follows:
    31 cycles = 0 db
    62 cycles = 8 db
    125 cycles = 5db
    250 cycles = -1 db
    500 cycles =0 db
    1 kilocycle = 0 db
    2 kilocycles = 2 db
    4 kilocycles = 4 db
    8 kilocycles = -14 db
    16 kilocycles = -14 db
Of course this will very based on your speakers and tolerance for digital compression

    cool

In Pittsburgh we had "underground" FM, KQV.
Played albums after midnight while most were only playing pop crap on AM. FM was known for classical and news until a few DJ's started playing real music. Then in the 70's it became popular enough to make legit and commercial. K-Fat went under in CA and reimerged as K-Pig. K-Fat theme song used to be The Free Mexican Air Force. Still good.
