California Medical Marijuana Question

I have been a resident of Southern California for almost 21 years. I am really thinking of getting my club card but am worried about "the list" and whatnot but I have seemed to calm down about that.

Someone told me if I get a club card I can not get life insurance. Is this true? Or does the person not know what he is talking about. I would really appreciate any help.
