hello everyone, been a long time since I last posted on these forums anyway I am back with some questions and really couldnt think of anyone better to answer them then the hip forums marijuana community. anyway here's the deal. I am going on a 5 days trip to holland, amsterdam more precisely. My goal for this trip is to visit an amazing city and ofc... get utterly, stupidly, extremly fucked up by: 1- smoking high quality bud ( I smoked home grown before so I dont really expect the best smoke of my life or anything but just grade A bud ) 2- hash brownies. Now I ve experienced alot with eating hash it's always been very fun but I never tried the real thing. brownies. I ve tried leary biscuits space yougurts etc before so i also know what to expect here. 3- last but not least, actually the most important. FULL BLOWN TRIP! (sorry caps ) be it LSD, shrooms, mescaline, salvia or even mdma( E is not a trip I know) In case I get really desperate Now I know there must abe a shitload of ppl going for the same reason and that as in all countries with alot of tourists there's usueally also alot of "tourist scamers" that's how I like to call them. or in other words ppl waiting for nothing more then the clueless tourist passing by to rip him off of what they would have normally made in a week or more. I am not sure what excatly is and what isnt legal in holland ( cannabis is legal for sure that's what I know). so yeah that's pretty much it. if anyone has some advice about what coffee shops to visit (and which ones to avoid) feel free to write names of streets or of the actual shops since I will be asking for a lot of directions anyway so it doesnt matter if I dont know where it is as long as I can ask. last would be the trip thing. now If I am not mistaken shrooms should NO longer be legal? LSD was not legal in the first place so this leads me to the conclusion that a decent trip will be the hardest to find. so again I ask you guys if you know the name of any streets, squares anywhere where I can get some good acid hits or a couple oz of shrooms. I mean in a city like amsterdam I certainly expect to be able to find some kind of hallucinogen (sp) if pointed in the right direction. thx for reading ( if you ve made it this far with my terrible spelling, punctuation and grammar) one last thing if there's a more apropriate section to post in maybe any mod could move the thread for me there. PS: I hope I didnt push it too far by asking for directions to potentially illegal (yes even in amsterdam) drugs like shrooms and acid.
Check out webehigh.com A couple of friends that visited said that things are still readily available and fairly secure. Apparently, the crack down on hallucinogens was due to several high profile cases of people not being able to handle their trip. They're trying to fight the anything goes Las Vegas mentality that some tourists come with. If you are cool, they should be cool. If you make a douche of yourself, they'll probably hassle you.
thx for the reply. I am glad to hear that most of the hallucinogens are still easy to get. I am a quite experienced psychonaut (sp) by now I think so I can handle my self as far as trips go. I can usueally fake bein sober really well. I would like you to clarify on the "going to las vegas" mentality though... what is that supposed to mean exactly? uhm... I guess someone going to vegas would be excpecting to make alot of easy money? or something like that. hehe no but jokes aside do you mean like not asking the wrong persons for stuff? because that's a problem I encounter alot when trying to score in new places. in certain places it is considered very offensive mistaking someone for a dealer, in some places it's even considered an insult because of which you could end in trouble :O (true story) anyway thx for the website I am off to check it right now.
The tourist slogan of Vegas used to be "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." Alot of people came with the attitude that anything goes and laws didn't apply. Eventually, Vegas police got pissed off with a bunch of outsiders coming in and acting like assholes. Holland has the same "anything goes" image about drugs in alot of people's minds and the locals don't really appreiciate it. Its kind of like saying, "I'm coming over to your place to do all the obnoxious shit that I can't do at home." Basically, it all comes down to being respectful and remembering that holland is a cultural capitol first and formost and drug capitol second. because that's a problem I encounter alot when trying to score in new places. in certain places it is considered very offensive mistaking someone for a dealer, in some places it's even considered an insult because of which you could end in trouble :O (true story)
here are some of my favorite places: Abraxas, Grey Area, Amnesia, the Cannabis College (working grow in their basement - a MUST SEE!), Dampkring, Greenhouse Namaste, the Pollinator Shop (the BEST hash i ever came across - just gotta ask Mila, if she's there)... you can google these names to find out where they are. check out this map: http://www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/Map.html should give you some starting points ;-) just start walking around and see if any shops jump out at you. the further away you go from the center, the more chill the shop is going to be i highly suggest that you stay out of the big coffeeshops. any that have multiple locations or that really stand out pretty much suck. the ones that are tucked away and smaller are going to be cooler. more locals instead of tourists. the ones that come to mind to avoid are the Grasshopper, Smokey, the Bulldog... i mean, they could be OK for you, but I found that i did not enjoy my experiences there at all (i was with other people who wanted to go there - not my choice) keep in mind that most places want you to buy AT LEAST a drink if you're going to be there. some demand that you buy a drink AND weed. if you don't, they'll ask you to leave. it's best to buy the smallest amounts possible since you're going to be buying a lot of weed almost every time you want to smoke. remember, you have to smoke all that weed! you can buy fresh mushrooms at places called "Smart Shops." they're all over the place. you can ask the person working what they'd recommend for the kind of trip you're looking for. fresh mushrooms are considered a "soft drug" whereas dried mushrooms are considered a "hard drug." soft drugs are tolerated in the netherlands (being marijuana, hash, and fresh mushies), hard drugs are not (LSD, exstacy, coke, herioin, etc). if you like beer, check out Brouwerij IJ. it's a brewery inside of a windmill. as i recall it's located in the northeastern part of the city center (or northeast of the city center... some of my memories from my trips to the 'Dam are a little hazy). this should be a good start. have fun!
thx that's really helpful. awesome to hear that mushrooms (at least in some form) are still legal and can be baught in shops. I guess I ll settle with mushies instead of LSD then since at least I wont have to deal with street dealers or be afraid to get ripped off.
