Well, duh!! Men are much smarter than women!! The extra 150 grams is extra computing power. When I read the title to this thread I thought it was going to be about some missing drugs.
neural development, like virtually all human development, is characterized by overproduction followed by systematic destruction of unnecessary features. take for instance, the hand. when formed, we have webbing between our fingers, but this is unnecessary and undesirable for several evolutionary reasons. therefore, before we are born the body eliminates the cells causing the webbing and sculpts our hands into recognizably human structures. similarly the brain is sculpted by eliminating certain parts based on number of factors. men and women have played different roles for humanity from an evolutionary point of view, and we have therefore developed slightly different structure and function in our brains. this has no bearing whatsoever on capacity for higher mental faculties. women's brains are a different size than do men's partially because women in general are of a smaller build and have a smaller skull capacity, but also because they are sculpted to work in a slightly different manner.
