Some would consider the Hot peppers a psychedelic. Personally I do get quite the buzz when my mouth is on fire. It's said that the burning sensation causes natural endorphins to be released.

I recently ordered the Bhut Jolokia pepper powder off eBay (finally got it in the mail today) and this shits intense. Your average hot chili (like Jalapenos) is about 5000 Scoville units (a rating scale for pepper hotness), a store brand Habanero is about 100,000 - 350,000 scoville units, and the Bhut Jolokia is about 1,050,000 Scoville units, lol.

Probably had whats equivalent to a few grains of Salt for starters.. and my mouth is going nuts. Feels lovely lol.

Anyone else ever experiment with this kinda stuff?

    Me.

My grampa was a chef and somehow got a small vial of capsicum, 8 000 000 scoville, to put that in perspective pepper spray is 2 000 000 scoville units.

    I also own a bunch of different hot sauces ranging from 200 000 - 3 000 000

Damn that's nuts. He must be throwin down bills then, (he sounds like quite the enthusiast lol), cause I've seen absolute pure capsicum (16 million scoville units) go for like 500 bucks for a few grams or something around there.

But that's awesome. I wanna start gatherin a collection when I'm livin on my own and got a decent job. Hows the 3million stuff feel? Is it concentrated? Does a few drops do the job?

I recently recieved a pepper sampler pack, it contains 2 different kinds of flakes(habanero, chipotle) and 4 powders(ancho, new mexican, de arbol, cayenne).
Upon dumping a couple good pinches of the habanero. I was met with just about the hottest pepper experience I had ever been graced with heh. :D
I notice while eating a good deal of spicy foods I get a buzzy feeling in the face? Has anyone else had this experience?

Yeah i'd say. Usually it goes along with my entire face becoming numb. I think it's because all your taste glands get fired up with more saliva than you can handle, which triggers the endorphins to be released.

I'd say it starts off with taking a few scoops of powder, feelin pretty mocho. Mocking the pepper mentally as you assume it's not so bad, then all the sudden moments later you are bombarded with a rush of heat in your mouth. You think over the course of a few minutes you've seen the worst only to notice the heats rising in with intensity. 5-20 minutes later it hits the actual peak, and you think you should be relieved now that burn is going away. Nope. Now it's just going somewhere else, lol, You feel it burnin wherever it hits your insides and then whatevers in your stomach gets churned and starts to burn aswell.. But at least amongst this entire process it's quite the mental buzz lol.

I was actually in the bathroom on the floor a few minutes ago thinking I was about to throw up because of how badly it was fucking up my stomach lol.

And I guess it ends with the next day when it is time to take a shit, probably hotter coming out then it is coming in.. The one down fall, lmao

I love the heat.I once got a standing ovation in a chinese joint for chomping down a handfull of some kind of red peppers.I told them it didn't bother ME--but it hurt .When I lived in Florida,a bunch of red-neck roofers were always bringing differant kinds of peppers to work to try and burn me out. They did a few times ,but I never let them know it.I like Dave's Insanity on certain foods.Bring it on!

hahaha--yeah,it's fun to act like"shit,man--I thought you said this was hot"?All the while trying to keep the face from looking horrified!I like fresh raw jalapenos with tuna andwiches--I mean like 6 or 7 peppers,if they're hot.I bought some a coupla days ago that were like bell peppers. At least to me.Very disappointing.
