Obviously its long OK so I was at my favorite pub last night waiting to meet some friends to go to a comedy club, which I was not really enthusiastic about going to in the first place. I would rather drink a beer and talk to this other guy and his girlfriend that I met who also had dreadlocks. My dreads are still very new and I was a little self-conscious about them so I had them pulled back in a bandanna. Well my friends show up and I must leave to go to the dreaded comedy club (no pun intended). We get there and I almost get into a fight with some guy for shoving me to get to the front of the line. Part of our group could not get into the club due to max capacity of people. So we all decided to go back to the pub and have a drink there. When we get back there were like 7 more people with dreads just hanging out. There was a live reggae band playing and everyone was into it. The vibe was great and the people were awesome. At the end of the night my very new dreads got let down. All in all it was a great night and being around a bunch of dreadheads helped pull me out of my shell, and I realized I don't need to be self-conscious of my dreads just because of the stage they are in. It was just one of those dread growing eye opening experiences.
Oh i feel ya i had mine up in a pony at the bars till just last week. all of them are a month 2morrow =) and my bottom ones are a month and a week. Do have a picture of your dreads? or are they posted on another thread?
I hate when people with dreads try to be all buddy buddy with me. Specially little kids with 2 week old freshly backcombed locks try to act like we'll get along I just give them the glare and tell them to fuck off with my eyes
you were talking about your little dread encounters and how you guys with dreads all hung out and were the bizznizz
Well if you don't like little dread encounters and talks of dreadlocks why do you post here so much? It just seems like you put alot of effort into posting all over this site and being ugly to people. Idk maybe you don't have anything better to do.
... don't feed the trolls, it only makes them stronger, he can be a funny troll though I enjoyed reading about your experience. While my dreads were maturing I found myself looking at other people's more and more, they gave me inspiration and patience, especially those of the non-waxed variety. Don't be ashamed of your lock's immaturity just love them like any good parent and you'll be fine.
You know what, I've never been around more than one other dreadhead at any time. That will change next weekend and I will maybe have more to offer... It's strange though, my dreads are over five months now and I still do not feel like they are dreads. Ah well.
After I give you positive karma to get your ass out of the red I am hurt And I only post in here by the way
