That my dreadlock journey is under the category of "fashion and crafts" puhlease it's more than just fashion and crafts
I dreaded my nut hair as a statement of my masculinity and individuality, not as a fashion statement. This is unacceptable!
My dreads are an inter connection to myself and the little bit of Jah Marley that is within all of us The longer my dreadlocks of freedom grow, the more able I am to sing no woman no cry
When I was like 14 and had only heard Red Wine and Jammin, I found this 3-CD set of Marley songs for like $10 and was so excited. Boy was that a bummer.
Hell, Legend got me into reggae. But yet again, I was like... 1 year old, so it could have been anything.
i think legend got a lot of people into reggae but its only a skimming of the surface that is jah marley. the whitest part of the surface too
Ya, I gotta admit that I'm still a huge Bobby fan, but I usually simply skip the Legend songs. But ya know, it's not really because they're that bad (even though I can't say that "Satisfy My Soul" is lyrical genius... and most of the songs are rather inferior compared to others, for the matter) It's more like, you know... you never really listen to DSOTM or The Wall with Floyd after a while... hell, I can't even stand the sound of any of the songs on those albums because they have been drilled so far into my head. All I know is that I'll be jammin to Soul Rebel as I pressure wash the floors at work tomorrow. Ain't nothin' like the sweet sounds of Mellow Mood and Put It On as you wash green goo off greenhouse floors.
I'm not sure where it best belongs... I don't like that it's listed under crafts, but it is logical that it's under fashion because new ppl would likely look under fashion for a hairstyle.
