Is there anybody who prefers winter to summer?

I'm on the west coast here, so we get hit bit a pretty much constant slurr of rain off the atlantic, brought in by the jet stream.

It can be snowing everywhere else in the country, several inches of snow 10 miles away and we'll just get rain.

There's usually a covering of snow on high ground though.

 

I like the temperature better.But I'm totally seasonal affective, and I don't really do long winters. I like Texas winters.

It's not the weather of course. I love snow. I just require sunshine.

 

Yea. I was on the Isle of Skye in late november, it stopped raining for maybe 2 hours in the whole week that I was there. Apparently it does get occasional snow however.

In the mid-highlands the weather was just utterly perfect. I was situated in a valley near Drumnadrochit on the shores of lochness. There were tall hills and/or mountains on all sides so we didn't get any of those harsh, North Sea winds, but it was cold enough to get some beautiful snowfalls. I hated having to do my shopping in Inverness. As soon as I got on the bus I would have a North Sea blizzard wind strike my body and chill me to the core.

 

Summer. We get 55 days of sunshine a year in Seattle and 90% of them are in Summer.

i prefer the summer, i used to like the winter more because i get hot really easily
heat stroke is not fun
but in honesty the summers here are like a blink and you'll miss it
where as we have fucking snow and cold for like half a year
i fucking hate how global warming is making canada

 

Summer, in India, is monsoon season.

 

Leaving Ireland at the age of 22 helped me realise that this statement is the basis of my daily mood.

 

I prefer winter to summer. Cold dark overcast days are my favorite. Listen to some dramatic cello or violin classical music. Everything dead and barren and melancholy.

Summer in south east texas are nearly unbearable.

 

Summer! Even though it's hot and muggy I prefer it over being cold and having old injuries ache like I'm some old arthritic lady.

 

Fat people.

They don't sweat as much and they don't get as cold.

 

I love winter weather. I love the rain and the grey skies. Summers out here get to 115 degrees. I hate that.

i like spring and autumn. i like them because is not cold nor hot, it is perfect and they are the most beautiful and colorful seasons.

 

lol honestly I love winter and I'm not fat, I just love snowboarding...

but I love swimming and beach bummin so... I can't choose really.

All I know is I'm really looking forward to cooler weather now.

 

i much prefer winter. i can't wait for summer to end NOW.
you can useually put more on, but when you get down to your skin,
it's pretty hard to take any more off.

of course i prefur mountains and furrests to cities and sea shores too.

 

I don't prefer one to the other, i like them both.

in fact i love all the seasons. i think what i hate the most is the combination of humid, raining and hot. it's ok for a little while but yeah not fun. i love humid sunny and hot however.

 

I love humid and raining, but thats probably because we only get it a few days a year here, if at all. Some of my best memories are of walking around in Malaysia or Northern Queensland in rain while it is oppressively hot. I think it is such an 'alive' time.
