i would disagree. i dont know excessive seems to always have a negative connotation

 

I'd say it depends on how the person uses it.

Rockstars, the Marquis De Sade, the ostentatious, Americans and so on.

All of the above examples live lives of comparative excess. Whether or not the word 'excess' has a negative or positive connotation depends on how you judge these people and their lifestyles.

Similarly, somebody who uses the word 'fuck' in every second thread title would be using it more excessively than your average person. This thread is for the purpose of determining whether that is a good or bad thing.

the only positive i could think of is something along the lines of...excessive charitable giving. but even that sounds fooked up

Anyway, all of this digression and tomfoolery has caused my question to go on unanswered.

My year 10 english teacher (fucking fag) said that use of too many swear words indicates a lack of vocabulary and a poor imagination. Fuck knows whether this is fucking true or not.

I like the word fuck and its many uses. I just fucking think that in order to preserve some of its impact, one should use it sparingly as fuck.

Of course it is a matter of choice and I have no fucking right to dictate how other fucks should use the word 'fuck'. Thank fuck for free speech.
