I've been going to the cinema a lot lately, particularly in the last 18 months as I've got an unlimited card so I pay monthly (the equivalent of 2-3 films a month) to go and see as many films as I like. I can't remember the last time my shoes went anywhere near the cinema - was probably a cold rainy day in february or something. I went in today, without any holdup as per usual, except after I was half way along the corridor to get to the auditorium I could hear the bloke who'd taken my ticket, asking his colleague "why on earth is that man not wearing any shoes?". I think it's great that although he was obviously puzzled he didn't kneejerk and cause any trouble. I don't think he meant me to hear him so I didn't turn around and answer him. Incidentally the film I saw was Coco Avant Chanel. Really good if you're into that sort of thing, although I've seen plenty of far more entertaining films this year. In The Loop's probably my favourite of 2009. Do you go barefoot to the cinema often, yourselves?
Planning on it today. just got laid off and threw out shoes like the bloke on another thread. why not?
