Was at a different site than I usually am yesterday, the only thing around in the way of coffee at lunchtime was a Starbucks. I knew I was going to be disappointed, but I still went anyway, and yep again I got a Large Mocha that tasted like dishwater and was barely warm. Starbucks and Mickey D's always perplex me, are we all that much suckers for getting swamped with advertising that we keep these brands afloat? Both chains have shit food / beverages, I can only guess they are still big cos of all the advertising they throw eveywhere. Anyone ever worked in a Starbucks? There seems to be a lot of them, and yet they make the shittest coffee. Why is it so?
Because the consumers have a shit taste in coffee. I refuse to drink Starbucks coffee. It's not coffee, it's shit.
never had a starbucks. im not stupid enough to pay what is it,, 3 or 4 bucks for a cup of coffee? thats ridiculous..
well, it's cheap to make shit coffee. so by paying less to make the coffee, and still charging full price, they are able to maximize their profits.
I've never been to starbucks either. We have plenty of cute little Italian restaurants with alfresco coffee stalls that make perfect coffee at half the price.
Because it's like totally about the image 'n' stuff. You can go there and order a $7 coffee and use lots of big words to impress people.
Hell, it's next to impossible to find Illy in non-super rich and yuppie places, so I'll be happy with what I get. Image at Starbucks? Maybe in NYC. Otherwise... it's just a bunch of random yuppies. Unless you're really into impressing strangers in the coffee line?
I've never been to a Starbucks. I had a sip of an almond Italian soda from there once. It was okay. The old coffee shop that used to be in the student union at the university had way better for way less.
I never went back when they made me put my own milk and sugar in the coffee i ordered. Yes I'm lazy and prefer Dunkin Doughnuts.
They burn their coffee beans on purpose as a signature I believe Also people go to places like McDonalds and StarBucks for consistency not quality
