is supposed to be 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch right? i got a 10 strip of unperfed "US blues" that had lines drawn on with pen marking each hit. well that night i took 1.5 hits and the trip was good, but not that intense. the dude told me (which i didn't really believe from the start) that they were 150 mics/hit. anyways, i just measured the strip, and it's 1 and 7/8th inches long by 3/16th inches wide. my hits are only 3/16ths" by 3/16ths". so i figured out the difference in area, and that makes my 10 hits closer to 5.5 or 6. so i'm thinking i have to take this into consideration when dosing. i'll probably take 3.5 or 4 of the small hits, which should equal 2-2.25 "real" hits. has anyone had or heard about US blues? are they supossed to be good? small? i think i recall reading something about US blues (uncle sams feet) on HF somewhere.
There's random names for acid every where, so I don't know if there is specifications for that particular "type" of blotter paper, .. never heard of it lol. Though taking the size proportion into consideration was a good idea, seeing as your first trip with them was relatively "alright" the first time. I'd take the legit amount and see where it takes you. Good luck
i think i'll take 3.5 "hits" = 2 real hits. then maybe a tad more the next trip. US blues is the name of the blotter you know like hoffman bicycles white on white i know i read US blues (i got uncle sam's feet) somewhere here maybe vibes trip report
size isn't really a good incidator... the best acid i had was pretty small, and 3 of these tiny hits had my mind melting into a world of visuals. but if you took 1.5 and want a stronger trip... then just take more, naturally. don't worry too much about the size or how many mics you were told were on the blotter, there's really no standard size or way to know for sure what dose you're taking to the microgram.
i have a feeling that these guys just made the hits smaller to make more money. i kinda thought the strips looked skinny when i first looked at them. but i was excited to finally have found some acid again, that i ignored it. my 10 strip is actually divided into 10.5 hits, and the .5 is torn, so you can tell the strip used to be even longer. isn't a sheet 10 by 10 hits, so a strip is 10 hits, not possibly more. or does it come bigger than 100 hit sheets?
they probably did make them smaller... but what can you do about that? it sucks, but it just means that you might need to take a bit more. worse things have happened. the best indicator you have of the strength of the blotter is your 1.5 hit trip... which is the best you're gonna get... so just go from there.
A sheet is not 10x10hits. If you purchase blotter paper, they usually come perforated and sectioned into 1/4" by 1/4" squares, on a sheet measuring 7.5" x 7.5", roughly 30 hits x 30 hits, totalling 900 hits. That's just a general size. Some special, custom, or limited edition pieces of blotter (sold usually as art) come in non standard sizes like 9.375" x 9.375" and have larger hits, like 3/8" x 3/8" so there would only be 625 or so hits.
