Justin Hayward had an amazing knack for hooks and basic chord progressions which is probably why his penned songs were the band's most successful. Lesser known songs with outstanding hooks are: It's Up To You You And Me Never Comes The Day Simple Game Have You Heard 1 & 2 Gypsy While I also dig John Lodge's work, his well known "I'm Just A Singer" sounds like it belongs in an early ESPN show intro.
