i do get very annoyed at people who don't understand english unless it is not their first language. actually, i get annoyed at non-english speakers who don't understand english too, but i feel like i have less right to be annoyed at those people... i probably have no room to talk though, since i never capitalize anything. also speak in sentence fragments often.
shitty grammar is shitty. I remember when I first started posting here, there was a thread in UK called "I bet this really bother's you if your a grammar freak"
Its been a pet peeve of mine for as long as I can remember. Round here its become cool to be stupid. I hate it. I wish I could change it. All the your and you're, their and there and they're, weather and wether.. On top of that all the misspellings and run-on sentences.. It kills me. I dont neg rep, I dont care enough.. its their lack of intelligence, not mine.
Yep, I find this works too. :cheers2: But I like using bad grammar sometimes. And I'm not good at it all the time either. I do get annoyed when I'm crazy happy because I got a good mark on a test or something and then they need to rain on it and talk about how they're always getting good marks like that ... when they can't tell the difference between your and you're. haha! I remember that! Here too.
I will admit I am one of the lazy ones with grammar. My papers for school were perfect, but I did have to go back and edit by putting commas after my introductory clauses. I never put a comma there as I type.......I guess it's against my writing religion.
So, do some of you brilliant English language people have a link to a cartoon that can explain all of this mess. I imagine I was stoned in High School when it was taught. It also could be possible I skipped that day. Somehow I got through 4 years of college and four years of Law school and I seemed to have missed this. Help give a clue to the clueless. Please explain this. I wounder how much it would cost monthly to have a grammar coach critiquing my posts.
