4/20 fest.

So i have been told all abuot the 4/20 fest which is also known as the marley fest.... It takes place in Austin, Texas every 4/20 for three days.. I have never gone but i will eventually go. I was told that high times gets licenses to bring their weed to the 4/20 fest so they can do it all legally and everyone can just go anywheres and smoke the cops say nothng. I can't wait til i can go. Who has heard of it or has gone before?

Im 17 years old too. I don't live in Texas but my brother and his friend which his friends lives in Austin has told me all about it..

There's all kinds of 420 celebrations around the US im sure. Austin is one of the biggest. Ive heard of marleyfest, but Im pretty sure hightimes does not bring weed with permission.

Ive been getting ht for over two years and havent read anything of the like for 420fest.

Im sure theyre exaggerating.

We have a Marley Fest every year here in Miami, in Bayfront Park during february. Its just a day long reggae concert, with some hip-hop. I went to the last one, Nas was a special guest and he performed "Road to Zion" with Damien Marley. Shit was raw.

As far as weed goes, Marley Fest is the only time of the year where smoking weed is "legal" in Miami. You can literally walk around the concert smoking an L, and there is cops stationed all around the perimeter and they dont say anything.

And according to isaac you can carry like an ounce in Austin cause they are more worried about Heroin then weed.

yes indeed the ATX hosts Reggae Fest, previously known as Marley Fest, they recently changed the name. No, high times is not licensed to bring legal weed, sadly, but we have some world-class local growers and imports from across the country. Last year I had an oz each of Golden Bermuda Kush and Grandaddy Purps and tried countless other kinds of ganja... it is acceptable to bring weed and smoke and sell, etc, but it is still illegal (though it is decriminalized in Austin, up to 2oz I believe you will just get a ticket) But yeah as long as you're not driving cops are really lenient here all the time and esp during the fest.

It's not legal at all. They just don't make a scene over it. I went with my friend back in 96 though.

 

This sounds like an awesome fest. I want to go in 2010 now.
