To all of the Veterans who are members of this board, and to those who would be here but who fell in the line of duty, I would like to say thank you for your selfless service to your country. Most sane people want to live in a free and peaceful world, but there are those who would threaten the peace and freedom of others. Our world is not a perfect place, but you veterans were there when we needed you to defend us. Many people on these boards, including myself, may not agree with the decision of our government to send you off to fight in Vietnam or Iraq, but you should know that I am proud that you were able and willing to do so when our country called. I understand that it is a soldier's duty to follow orders, not to question them, and you did what was asked of you. So to all of the brave men and women who have lived and died in service to their country, thank you, and happy Veteran's Day.
Absolutely. If you oppose a war you must contend with the government that wages the war, not the soldiers duty-bound to fight it.
