books that "everyone" had to read in high school

    these were the only ones mentioned that i had to read for school...


    i don't remember what i did have to read; i didn't do any required reading after The Giver in sixth grade. seemed pointless since we came into class every day and spent 45 minutes discussing the 4 pages that had been assigned to us the night before anyway...

    Well, Brave New World is a better book than 1984, but neither book is actually all that great.

    some book about life for French and English people in the 1800's in Quebec...
    my teacher was so into these books and went into so much depth...he was one crazy guy

    Ever read Daniel Keyes' "The Minds of Billy Milligan"?

    It's not the best written book out there, but it's pretty fascinating.
