The only books I actually read in high school were the books I wanted to read outside of school. Pretty much all the requested reading in high school went unread. Man, I was flying high those four years. (lol)

I have a friend like that.

Took too much, now he's paranoid of everything, has no friends, and works at Subway. He's going back to school to be a pharmacy technician... I'm not shitting you.

I don't think the drugs had any lasting effect.... seriously. I was not any less paranoid before I used that stuff than I am now.

Must have been something traumatic in your childhood then.

No. If I am paranoid, then so are millions of other people who research the same topics. I wouldn't say I am paranoid, I just question everything.

Questioning everything isn't the same as automatically doubting everything... but hey, whatever rocks your boat.

He sees himself in the role of the superhero informing the masses that a small group of the privileged minority are attempting to control every aspect of their lives

Lord Of The Flies- William Golding
    The Illustrated Man- Ray Bradbury
Where The Red Fern Grows- Wilson Rawls
A book about Odysseus, but I can't remember which one...

Those're the only ones I can think of right now... Though I know there were many more.
But, I just got off work, and yonder brain is fried in an unpleasant manner.
I believe I found something enjoyable in each book, even if I didn't altogether like the whole book.

Never actually read a full book in regards to a Class assignment. The closest would have been.

    To Kill a Mockingbird

I watched the movie on it, and Researched the possible differences that where commonly exploited between the two.

However When I got into a study hall in high school, me just sitting there was not a popular thing for the teacher, so was demanded to get a book to read. Hence I started reading

    Dragonlance Chronicles

    Dragons of Autumn Twilight
    Dragons of Winter Night
    Dragons of Spring Dawning

Needless to say I got hooked and read the entire series there after includeing Deathgate cycle, Darksword Triligy and onto RA Salvator Drizzt series. What things you can get into when you actually enjoy the book you are reading...

Where The Red Fern Grows was a great book, but I'm pretty sure I read it in elementary school, not high school

Like I said, brain is fried.. I only noticed the school part.

Come to think of it, pretty sure those were all elementary- middle school (junior high) books.

Well... now deleting my post wouldn't do any good since you went and quoted me.
Guess I'll take my currently extremely short attention span elsewhere. :seeya:

Everything from school kinda blends for me anymore. I don't remember it as vividly as I once did.
