Lol and now I've decided it needs more work on it haha I'll get there in the end!

 

mostly I think it just need more shadowing in some parts to get some depth, but alas youve got a nice style

 

Changing a few lines here and there. Wanna make that area on the right work a bit better.

The shading was just a rough mapping out of things to show the tattooist, so it's not final anyway

 

It is real cute, and I bet it will look great once it finally gets on your arm

Thanks for the nice feedback Yes there will be colour eventually. Electric blue hair, stockings still black and white. Haven't decided on tentacle colour yet. I might just hold right off the colour until I see what else I do to my arm, and then I can make sure it all works well together.

As to meaning....it pretty much started out with a shopping list of things I like the look of. I see different meanings depending on my mood. Sometimes I think it's a bit feminist! haha

Well here's an updated draft I've been doing today. I think it's better

 

I like the 2nd one. the line connecting her side/arm looks best in your updated draft. Also the waves are flowing better
