Anyone ever do it? I have always wanted to, and sometimes i recognize that i am dreaming while in a dream but i dont take advantage of it...
sometimes it sucks as much as reality. like you can't fly, or make things appear. sometimes you get lucky and can do all that though
i was watching Waking Life and a point came across that nobody dreams anymore because nobody knows how to. that made me wonder if dreaming is changing as a whole - i have always experimented with conscientiousness while sleeping...even as a young kid i would meditate and focus on the time that i WANTED to wake up and when my dreaming ended, it was always the time that i had thought upon. i thought also about another point. they said that there is constant blocking of hallucinations during waking hours, because it doenst make sense to hallucinate. but during sleep nothing is logical. i have also heard that it is possible to meditate for an extended period of time to take place of sleeping. are we then hallucinating? where exactly is the threshold for waking and dreaming realities? if i were to know no better, me typing on this computer could be a dream of any of yours' and the mere fact that we are communicating is any one of your guys' will
I once realized I was dreaming but couldn't bring myself to open my eyes. It was impossible. Than terror creeped in and I felt trapped in my body, and I freaked out in my dream trying so hard to open my eyes but I was paralyzed. It was surreal. When I finally snapped out of it and woke up I was somehow completely relaxed in my body, which was weird because I felt like every muscle was clenched when I was trying to open my eyes in my dream.
I have nothing but lucid dreams anymore. I think its connected to having HPPD. But lucid dreaming is only the first step. The second step is to gain realization of your astral body, and work on escaping the physical shell. The third step is getting control of your astral body, understanding how the astral world works takes time. The fourth step is exploring as far out as you possibly can. I haven't explored past the astral plain, though ive had the opportunity, I just find remote viewing intensely satisfying so i dont ever wanna leave the astral plain lol.
I've had like 15 lucid dreams since I started realizing what they were. The coolest one I ever had was last summer and involved me landing on another planet. I got off the spaceship and looked around at this incredibly beautiful new place and realized I was dreaming. At that point, I took my spacesuit off and started walking into these knotted and winding trees covered in glowing green moss until I was pretty deep in the forest. I came upon a clearing with a waterfall and without thinking I took my clothes off and walked into the water. It was waist-high throughout and I decided to try walking into the waterfall. As I walked closer, I heard a woman's laughter behind the waterfall. I decided to see what was behind it and I closed my eyes and charged through. I opened my eyes and found myself floating in darkness. I asked out loud "What does this dream mean?" and a booming voice responded out of the darkness, "You will break through". Dreams are my main motivation to take a break from smoking. I usually can't remember shit from my dreams if I've been smoking.
When I was younger, I would constantly dream in my sleep, most of them being lucid dreams. My dreams were also extremely vivid, playful and bright, like a psychedelic Beatle's album. I was obsessed with Peter Pan as a boy, and I would often have the ability to fly in my dreams. I remember a specific dream of me having the ability to fly and control it in my childhood home. I remember exactly what my first home looked like as a kid because of that dream. As a kid, I was also terrified of the old Child's Play films and Chucky. I had nightmares about him for a while, but I was able to train my mind before I slept into thinking Chucky was really my friend and wouldn't harm me. After a while, my dreams of Chucky were all good ones. It's amazing how your mind works when you're a child. I wish I had the same dreams, thoughts and perception.
Try vitamin B6 supplement. They (?) have found that B6 is in short supply in those that don't remember dreaming at all, and if you take a supplement, your dreams are enhanced, vivid dreams. I've tried it. It works, sometimes too well. But read about B6 and dreaming. Google it. It's important that you don't take too much.
Vitamins are found in foods. B6 is found in foods. Supplements are often suggested if we aren't in the habit of eating a well-rounded diet. If you were eating an adequate diet, perhaps you could remember your dreams?
