It's official! An insider comes out and drops the news that american idol is rigged. Pfft, some "reality T.V" for you right there. The top four are already picked out before they even get there. Does this surprise anyone? I thought so all along. I kind of doubted that the show would risk venturing a ton of money in launching a "winners" music career that was picked from the general populace. If it was my money I wouldn't, why would they? And all along they're getting advertisment money from ford and likely a cut of the phone in profits. Phone profits from votes that don't even matter. Wow that should be illegal.
I call them UN'reality' shows.And yes they ALL are rigged.American Idol admitted they were rigged a few years ago.--What kind of people still watch that type of junk anyhow?
I quit watching it several years ago. I admire the talent, but detest "the machine". This show has become another pacifier for people who have nothing better to do...like pay attention to what their government is doing in THEIR name, with THEIR money. Pay no attention to the dancing monkey. Move along. Keep alert. x
I always thought this. Especially when that Sanjaya(SP) guy got kicked off. Vote for the worst would have totally annihilated the show if votes really counted. It's TV, what do you expect?
All vote in shows are pretty much rigged. It even says in the credits usually that contestants are basically picked for publicity, not talent. And that sponsors have a huge say in who wins or stays on the show.
Is anyone really surprised by this? Lol it doesn't really matter because the show is terrible and is only really meant for entertainment and has no real purpose. It's not like anyone from the show has a huge career (but there are 1 or 2 who have done okay) but other than that the people are forgotten pretty quickly
Though this is new news to me, it doesnt surprise me in the least. And along with the rest of you, stopped watching quite a few years ago. lol, thats was priceless. I completely agree, they're keeping us blind. i think that might be a new sig. :cheers2:
