My husband and I are both animal lovers, and have found it hard to turn down strays. Right now we have 3 dogs (one mutt, one rescued pitbull, and one boston terrier), 2 cats (1 russian blue, 1 mystery breed) and 1 chinchilla. We love our “kids”, but with such a full house, accidents are bound to happen. We’d love to add to our menagerie, but don’t want our house to end up smelling like a toxic dump. Does anyone have any recommendations for cleaning up these accidents and keeping our house odor-free? I’ve seen this sprayat Petsmart before, and my vet sells this pet odor eliminator at his office. Has anyone tried either of these, or any other miracle product? Do they really get rid of the odor/stain?

Let me start this off by first saying, please learn where to draw the line and say "No" to taking in an animal. It is very difficult to do, I know. By you taking in all these strays you might think you are doing them a favor when in reality you are not. I have seen these sort of situations. The animals end up not being cared for properly because their owners can't afford to do so, as they have way too many animals. Dogs and other pets aren't cheap. I am in no way saying that you would do this and I am in no way saying that you cannot care for the animals.... but this is one of these type situations where you can get overwhelmed quickly!

As for odor eliminators, I have yet to find anything that will keep my house completely odor free. I have four adult German Shepherds that live in my home and now I have 9 GSD puppies that turned 3 weeks old today. So, the smells radiating from their box and into the rest of the house are..well.. not very pleasant LOL. What I do is clean and disinfect their box everyday then spritz a bit of air freshener throughout the house. Just a temporary solution that only works for a day, but I don't mind cleaning up after my animals especially those cute little shepherd babies.

You might try doing a google search and see what you come up with. Good luck!

Mrs Meyer's Cleaning Day has a product for accidents. I just love it. And it's natural so that's an added plus!
