Okay, I checked and I don't think anyone's posted a thread yet. I really want to play/buy this game, but I don't want to spend the money if it's not worth it. I have the second one and I love it! Can anyone tell me whether or not it's worth the money and what kind of graphics chip/computers are compatable with it? Thank you
I really don't know much about specifics.. My boyfriend got me this and I just put it on my laptop. So I can't really tell you what type of computer stuff you need for it, sorry! As for game play.. It's pretty fun! I like how much you can get into creating the Sim and all. It's really neat. To be honest I feel kinda bad because I really wanted this game and then my sweetie surprised me with it and I haven't played it much at all. But that's not because the game isn't great.. that's because I've been really busy!! If I were you I would go for it.. I think it's worth the money. I know I will start playing it a lot more when things calm down in my life.
I have it. Save your money or wait until they fix all the problems. In terms of game play it's not bad but with the time speed issues (4 times slower than sims 2 speeds) it makes game play incredibly boring. I can't remember the specs precisely but you can find them here http://www.monstersandcritics.com/gaming/pc/news/article_1449082.php/The_Sims_3_PC_requirements_revealed it plays ok on my laptop which falls just below requirements. For me to be able to achieve the highest game speed possible I have to turn the screen down to 600x600 which makes the graphics atrocious. If I turn the screen to full, the graphics are very good but I have to forfeit by having in game hours lasting two minutes on super fast speed. For what it's worth and all the hype that went with it I thought the game was a huge let down. I strongly suggest saving your money til the price comes down.
The design of the game itself is pretty good. I find trouble finding things to do, however this just be because I haven't looked at very different things. There is a highly limited amount of things like hairstyles. There are lots of glitches, too. Try not to be so open about piracy, if it doesn't get you in trouble, it could still get the site in trouble.
