Hi, I was wondering if you did not have insurance... how much would going to one of these places costs? and as far as the Methadone clinics... which I'm pretty sure you have to go daily/weekly, I was wondering how much that would cost as well and how effective it is. Keep in mind, I don't have insurance... but would they REALLY turn away people who cannot pay up front with cash? One last question - I heard that methadone gives you a kind of opiate high. I've taken it recreationally, but for treatment, what exactly does it do? and is it effective? Thanks guys.
You can pay daily or monthly at most clinics as far as I am aware, but Im sure some do weekly. Its usually like $10-20 a day, and like around $300 a month (this is for methadone, generally it seems suboxone is more expensive). I think most clinics take cash or credit, and as far as not having money upfront, I think youd be shit outta luck as far as you wont get treatment. Methadone does create a high, as it is a strong opiate, but is not one of the safer ones. As for treatment, it lasts a long time, so it keeps WD at bay. But from almost everyone Ive ever heard from, getting off methadone is usually harder than just getting of oxy, H,...
Depends on where you live there's this one doc I used to go to for suboxone and he was like 100$ first visit then 50$ every month, not including the script which was like 4.50$ for an 8mg Sub w/o insurance. Prices do vary alot thought, your best bet is to go on the suboxone website and look at their list of licensed doctors and call the whole list for your area till you find a good price. I called like 50 places till I found that guy and some quotes will make you laugh as you hang up.
