Hello, i had a very bad day today, my roor fell off my desk and the joint / diffuser broke  I am broke right now and cant spend any more money on glass or repairs. Anyway, my question for you guys is think i can fix the diffuser with some good ol' JB Weld? I know its non-toxic but im just wondering what everyone thinks about the idea of fixing broken glass with it and inhaling threw it after it broke.

ps: i already have electrical tape around the joint and it seems to be working just fine for now, anyone have any better ideas then just electrical tape??

I know pictures would be really helpful, i just cant find my camera cord, any feed back will be gratefully appreciated

if you were to do that, id make sure it IS non-toxic and can handle some heat.

also make double sure that you clean the spot the glass broke so there arent any tiny (im talking microscopic) shards dont go flyin into your lungs

i feel for you. a roor is an investment, and a true piece of art.

JB weld will get you through until you do get a real repair, or get a new diffuser.

it's not going to look nice, but it will wrk.

personally id just find a really cheap pipe to use or buy papers until i was able to get something to fix the problem.........back to the way it's supposed to be.

oh i have a of other things i could use, its just the fact i dont feel like spending anymore money on this piece ( iv spent like 400 total i think ) if a repair was $20 bucks i would not care then i could say it cost me $420

id rather try and fix it, then just say ehh, and through it out

If you do use it to fix it, make sure you give it enough time to cure.

I'm not familiar with this "Jb" stuff you speak of.

If you end up getting a new diffuser, get one of the German ones.

I got one from EDIT for 50 bucks. its a 21 hole and it makes a world of difference.

I wouldn't worry about the toxicity. You're going to to be smoking through this thing, what, three to a half dozen times a day? For a couple-three months till you can repair or replace it? Sounds like pretty minimal exposure. Not like you're repairing, say, a set of dentures.

Yeah, it won't be pretty. Just get so fucked up you don't care.

JB weld can withstand some pretty high temps..

i used JB weld to stick a exhaust pipe into the motor of an old dirtbike i used, it must have gotten 1000+ deg numerous times, never even smoked

so im JB welding the diffuser back into the broken joint, iv waited a good 30 min to let it dry so it wouldn't drip, long story short, it drips into the beaker and there is JB Weld on the bottom of my roor and on the side.

God i failed....i should of waited to get it reblown :(

if you mean by cure as let it sit / dry for two days, it would of been rock hard in 24 hours
