I've always loved my dreams whether they were frightening or not. I've often kept a journal in hopes of becoming lucid but only on rare occasions does it actually happen, and then I stop writing in the journal for periods of time. Either way nightmares do not bother me very much.

However, recently things have been different. It started a few nights ago when I had the pure black figure dream. In the dream I was sleeping in the exact same room in the same bed. I remember jolting out of sleep (in the dream) because I was being pulled out of bed and there was a deep ringing sound in the background. As I reached the foot of the bed I landed on my feet and jumped towards the door in terror. I was trying to scream for my mother but nothing would escape my throat but a wheeze. All of a sudden, standing right next to the door, was the silhouette of a pure black human figure. This figure was blacker than the unlit room itself so it stood out. It seemed to have no hair. I was beyond myself in fear at this point and I quickly jumped towards the figure (You might be confused about this. It seemed like a good idea at the time, dream logic ya know?). As I landed inside of it the entire room flashed ebony for a split second and a very disturbing feeling came over me. It was gone though, and in it's place was me. I woke up.

That dream was quite shocking, but I soon got over it and looked back with admiration. I haven't had such an.. exhilarating dream in quite a while. But then AGAIN the next night I was pulled out of my bed during a dream. I can't remember the details of this one.

"Maybe it's something I'm eating?" I thought. I changed my diet completely last night, but guess what I dreamed about? Correct. This one is fresh in my mind so I will share it.

I was walking around outside in this large meadow. It was filled with many different types of vegetables and food including carrots, corn, sliced onions (yes the onions were growing sliced), diced peppers... I took a couple of these items with me as I walked. Soon I came across this large orange sphere. I placed one of the carrots inside of it and in return I got a golden pair of pants. I placed an onion inside and received a golden shirt. "Wow!" I thought, "I need to collect all of these!". As I went around the wild garden collecting everything I could find I met another guy doing the same. He was collecting them for food however, not greed.
We became friends and started gathering together. At this point I had totally forgotten about my previous quest and now I was determined to mix these ingredients with sauce and noodles, fry it all, and eat it. So I did! I made two dishes of this food and it looked quite delicious. We took our bowls to a hill-top restaurant and seated ourselves within.
Suddenly the food looked horrible. Uncooked, not edible, disgusting. A waitress walked to our table and gave us two desserts. They seemed to be crepes topped with fruity jam and cake icing. Those were much better than our own creation and so we proceeded to enjoy them. This restaurant was crowded with people. The waitress returned and offered to take our dirty failed-experiment bowls for us, we agreed. She took the bowls and placed them on top of our unfinished desserts, smashing them. Neither of us said anything as to not embarrass her, but she kept on doing this until there was nothing left on our plates but smears. She walked away and I stared at a standing man straight in the eyes. I knew who he was, he was her boyfriend. That didn't particularly matter to me, I just felt like staring for some reason.
    ---^ uninteresting stuff ^---
I turned my head for no apparent reason to the back sliding window doors of this restaurant. Suddenly it began to rain heavily. I saw a very distinct outline of a man wearing a coat and hat, he was walking towards the restaurant from the backyard. A thought pinged through my mind "He is coming for you". I ran like a madman from that restaurant into something that can only be described as a portal invented by the mind. I locked the imaginary doors behind me and willed them out of existence to make sure he would not follow. I slowly awoke hearing rain but there was no rain.

After calming down a bit I fell back asleep. This next dream is what got me "interested", as if the stranger trying to get to me wasn't enough. I'll explain that later.
This next dream was quite brief as I only slept for an hour or two more. I was yanked out of bed (in the dream) and heard a thunderous crashing noise coming from within my house, like my cabinet of dishes and glasses had been pulled of the wall. It was raining in the dream again. Somebody was trying to get to me.
    -woke up-

Now you may just brush these nightmares aside however I cannot. Why? About a month and a half ago I had my very first adult sleep paralysis. I remember having them a lot as a kid but this was the first time I had it and knew what it was. I was laying in bed one afternoon (late sleeper) and suddenly awoke. All of my muscles were locked and not responding to my brain. "Strange" I thought, "Oh! It's sleep paralysis. Just stay calm, it's natural.." I closed my eyes in hopes of it passing sooner, but closing my eyes did not do much to stop me from seeing. I could see everything in front of my eyes even though they were tightly shut. Every little detail of the painting in front of me (I was on my side facing a painting) was clear. Suddenly I felt a presence, a very mysterious and dark presence. It was in the corner of my room behind me next to the door. The same door that the black silhouette was near weeks later. It was like a big purple-black smoking figure. I did not feel too threatened because I told myself it was simply a creation of my mind, but my goodness.. it was so real. The ringing was it's voice, it was a very deep roaring ring if you can imagine. It got louder and more intense with every passing second. "You are greeted by a stranger" pinged through my mind clear as day as if something was sending a message. Was that stranger the same figure that would appear in my nightmares later? I do not know.

I may or may not continue to relay these dreams to you. I can't imagine anybody who would read all of this. If you do, though, know that this isn't false. I honestly feel like there is something coming to get me.. or communicate with me? There is nothing on my conscience (as far as I know) that would be causing any of these dreams.
