that's kool of you dude, you can't save the world but you can make subtle differences to the people who inhabit it.
i had to start giving cigs----cas i'll always give the change or a bux at a time--but there were so many in Denver when i lived there i just started giving cigs-----and they liked it---most are drugaddicts-some mentally ill-- a few with tragic situations--i can never remember meeting a nonusing bum but i'm sure theres gotta be a few that dont get high
dont know if this was mentioned or not but if you have not seen it watch the film "skid row" its a doc. that follows pras (formerly of the fugees) as he lives in L.A.'s skid row for an extended period of time. I live in big city with a large homeless population and the movie still shook me.
Same around my area, I'm sure there are some who are really just unlucky but most have a reason they are homeless. One time in Cali I was on my way to work and didn't have a lighter to toke up before hand. So I stopped at this gas station for matches. There was this old black guy outside who was smoking a cig and selling insence. I asked him if i could trade a few cigs for his lighter but he wouldn't. He told me I could bum a light if I needed. I then told him I didn't need it for cigarettes. To shorten this shit a little we ended up getting high.
forgive me for swaying off topic still...but... As of April 1, 1994, all new drivers applying for their first car or motorcycle licence enter Ontario's Graduated Licensing System (GLS). Graduated licensing lets new drivers get driving experience and skills gradually. The two-step licensing process takes at least 20 months to complete. To apply for a licence, you must be at least 16 years old and pass a vision test and a test of your knowledge of the rules of the road and traffic signs. After you pass these tests, you will get a Class G1 or M1 licence and a driver information package for new drivers. You must pass two road tests to become fully licensed. New drivers earn full driving privileges in two stages and have five years to complete the program (Classes G1, G2, M2 or M2 with condition "L") and graduate to a full licence (Classes G, M or M with condition L). many here know my opinion on homeless and street livers...i help and give them as much as i can afford at the particular time....every time...cigs,drugs,money,food.a ride.whatever..i offer my phone if they need it,my number,...what goes around comes around, karma, all that shit
