denver has its brown cloud in the summer. when theres red advisories (not red flag, thats fire weather conditions) you can't have a fire in an uncertified stove/ fireplace. so if thats how you heat your house or cook then a wood burning stove is fine, otherwise you could get a fine. denver is particularly effected (affected? its late and im high, so whatever) by weather patterns. the pollution can get trapped like under a bubble, and it cooks that way. no wind, intense heat, and a stalled weather pattern. everything looks so hazy then, its really gross.
It is the governments way of saying that they have their ass covered. They told you it was bad so they did what they could do about it.
a lot of times when they have that warning it means that there is an excess of ozone in the air. no bueno
