My name is Aanii - Just found this site last week. Any souls left from the old days in Victoria, B.C., 1969 and onwards? CNVA (Committee for NonViolent Action), War Resisters League, Hasslefree Enterprises, the Tree-Planters? I was the Bread Lady--still am, never could get used to store-bought I started out in Ontario and moved to Victoria, then to California and then back to Ontario in '89...Love snow camping, missed those four seasons. Still nursing, still think it's the best job on the planet.
Naw, I'm a recent addition to the hippie ranks. Welcome to the site, hope you like it here! So you're famous? Quasi-famous?
1)Nope--not famous. Not even sort of. Just one of the many---We did lots of stuff (like smuggling in war resisters, getting them landed), but nothing dramatic. Our goal was, and I hope is, to try to leave things better than you found them, not to make headlines 2)Aanii is Ojibwe - I'm part Native, part French/Scottish, all Canadian. It's Algonkian and means "Welcome" or "Hello".
