Is anyone checking out the meteor shower tonight? Unfortunately, it's a bit overcast here with some scattered clouds. Plus, I live too close to the city. They say the best times to view this event is between 9-11 PM PDT and also just before dawn.

last year was pretty good...although the moon did come up late...next year it sets early ...so if you have clear dark skies...should be good

the Geminids are a bit better but who wants to be out at 2am in dec.

I’d love to see the meteor shower but unfortunately we have overcast skies and with fog
moving in from the east and rain showers to the north and west, I can’t simply get into my car and drive to an ideal viewing location :(

I think it's overcast here. I'm inside a nearly windowless factory right now. Sucks. Maybe next year. :(

Back in 2001 there was a meteor shower to top all meteor showers, but unfortunately it was overcast throughout the most on New England :(

That hasn't been confirmed. They don't know for certain what caused that.

Some have speculated it was triggered by Tesla's "death ray."
