SWIM is curious about purchasing some methcathinone, but I have read conflicting sources online. Some say it is more like MDMA, and others say it is more like methamphetamine. I love MDMA, but I can't stand amphetamines (yes, SWIM knows MDMA is technically an amphetamine), or any traditional stimulant for that matter (adderall, ritalin and caffeine all make SWIM feel jittery without any euphoria). Is there anyone here with a similar experience to uppers as SWIM that has tried methcathinone? How is the euphoria and empathy in relation to MDMA?
Methcathinone is very similar to methamphetamine. Chemically, the only difference is that methcathinone has one (1) double bonded Oxygen atom on the B-carbon. From what i can tell, the effects sound more similar to methamphetamine than to MDMA. Considering that you're not particularly interested in stimulants, it might not be best for you.
*runs away crying* But wait, I'm confused. 2-methylamino-1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propan-1-one AND 3,4-Methylenedioxy-N-methylcathinone are not the same thing, correct? (don't be mean if I'm asking an obvious question) I know I shouldn't use Wikipedia, but it claims that 3,4-Methylenedioxy-N-methylcathinone is Methylone, but other sources indicate methylone is the other long ass chemical name I used. So whats the chemical name for the substance we all call methylone? Thanks for the help and much love, P.M.
"3,4-Methylenedioxy-N-methylcathinone" is the correct name for methylone. However it becomes quite confusing, one source lists "3,4-Methylenedioxy-N-methylcathinone" as MDMC, and "2-methylamino-1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propan-1-one" as MDMCAT, however MDMC and MDMCAT are actually the same thing. There is also the brand name Methylone which is actually an injectable form of Methylprednisolone, which is unrelated to MDMC. so all in all, they're both right
