If i played a game with you, and i whipped out 25 balls per second, full auto, would you be pissed? :hat:
Dangerous Parts G3. If i bought a Pinokio i could. but i'm going to go with a 68/45k tank, a Halo B hopper, and a V-force Profiler mask. i'm not going to ever use that setting, even if i did get a pinokio hopper. i'm keeping it at psp 15 ramping.
My brother used to have a paintball gun. He shot his friend in the face with it on accident and got it taken away from him hahah.
i'm a complete novice... i've played twice. lol. and i went out and dropped this much cash. oh well, i already know i love it, so it doesn't matter.
oh than I Might actually succeed at fucking your shit up I might need to have a few beers first though
thankfully full auto is pretty much banned from any field you go to. it's not a hidden setting, why would they hide a setting
it's not listed on the manual, someone found it by accident. it's not really full auto, it's NXL 25 bps. 3bps activated.
NXL is a league that uses a different firing mode than PSP. Most leagues have dropped the ROF down to 10 BPS anyways, so any field that allows ramping won't let you go past 15.4 BPS (the old limit). I've been out of the paintball scene for a few years so I had to look up the G3. Looks a bit like an Ego knockoff but probably operates differently. If you're new to playing then be warned that the entire industry is a marketing scam. First priority on your purchase list is a mask. I've worn Profilers for a few years now and haven't bothered to get anything different but you might want to check out Grills, E-Vents, and Dye I4's. I think those are the most popular masks out today. DON'T GET A HALO. For years they were your only option for force feed technology but the shells are brittle and they are heavy. Spend the extra money and get a Dye Rotor. I must have 4 (somewhat) functional Halo's and enough parts to piece together another 3. They eat batteries and are now obsolete technology. As far as tanks go, just stick with a well known brand. I've always used Crossfire but I know some manufacturers make lighter tanks. Where in NC are you? That's where I lived when I balled the most and played at most of the fields especially near Raleigh.
outside of durham. I really can't spend more than another 200$-ish on the rest of my stuff. even thats pushing it... i'm probably going to get a 68/3000 tank because i can't afford a 68/4500 and 45/3000's are too small. I was looking at profilers but NO ONE has it in stock, are pro-vantages OK? i know you get what you pay for and they are a lot cheaper. and... everyone has told me to get a halo B, are they really that bad?
Only $200 left? You'll have to save some more. A 68/3K isn't a bad choice but if you plan on playing an big games/scenario games you'll want a 4.5k. I guess it really doesn't matter for you because right now you just need some sort of HPA tank but in the future you will want a 4.5K tank. If you do get a 3K tank, DO NOT fill it to 4.5K. If you have to hand it over to someone at a field to fill it for you, remind them that it is a 3K. Profilers are "old" by paintball standards now. Find a store near you and ask to try on several different masks. They fit everyone's head differently and this is the most important piece of equipment. You aren't going to have fun if you have a shitty field of vision. I think the Pro Vantages are one step down but they aren't bad. I'd really suggest you try on as many as you can though and spare no expense. I don't know who told you to get a Halo B but they probably haven't used one very long. I used them for 5 years and would never go back. I can't even count the number of times I spent $35 on a replacement shell, not to mention all the batteries it eats up. A lot of new companies have come around in the past few years and the market has been really flooded. I don't know what other options exist for hoppers but I know that the Rotor is by far the best choice out there. Simple design, two AA batteries and faster than a Halo. Just be warned then when you want to upgrade to a new gun, you'll want to look used. Guns depreciate like you wouldn't believe. My DM6 will be 4 years old when Dye release the DM10 at World Cup in October. I paid $1100 new sometime in December 2005 and now it's probably worth $350. As far as fields to play at in NC, the choices have really dwindled. If Gotcha in North Raleigh is still around, don't bother. That place was a dump run by an asshole. I played a bit at Black River, not too bad. If you're looking for a place online to get into the Carolina paintball scene then go to: EDIT: Just for personal reasons I'm not going to post this to the entire SL. If you want the website of a good forum that can help you out, especially locally, then PM me. It's pretty easy to figure out who I am over there but I would appreciate it if you didn't link me back to here. I know all the guys on that forum and have played with them for years. They are big into the scenario side of things but there's a lot of good information over there. It's no SL, bad grammar and spelling will not be tolerated. Keep it clean, you get one warning then permabanned.
