Kinda a fucked up thing...anyone got the 411?

Ok, there have been several people that I kinda know, who have told me that they don't like getting high around other people "because of the way they think" when they're high around other people. Does this mean that they have like an underlying psychosis/schitzophrenia? I can kinda understand where they may be coming from, ya know..."trippy thoughts" or whatever about life and shit. But I dunno. I personally don't have the problem, though I sometimes feel extra-retarded (even moreso than usual, hah) when around other people stoned. I do however, enjoy tokin' in isolation from time to time though.

 

That strange man... But I don't really like being around people that are NOT high when Im high. I get sort of parinoid. I love getting high before I go to sleep. Its so relaxing and peaceful. I feel like Im flying through an endless galaxy of deep dreams... But I wake up very hungy and tired...

man it sounds to me like those people dont trust their friends enough to not joke on em and shit. i love getting high wiht my friends cuz i can say anything i want and even if i do get joked on its jsut playin and i can joke on them right back when one of them says something stupid. hate getting high by myself tho...i just dont find it fun at all..i think its a waste of high actually but hten again ive been known to be extremely generous wiht my weed. i remember smoking with my friend on my porch at night once and we smoked a half ass blunt that got me only minorly high and he was like alright are we done? and i was jsut like fuck no we arent done and we smoked a couple more bowls fo my shit. I hate HATE HATE HATE having people who arent high around me when im ripped as shit. if you are sitting wiht us in our little patch of the woods then you are hitting wutever comes ur way or else!

 

Fuck Yeah!!! When people that dont smoke are around me, and they try to talk to me, I feel like a fuckin idiot. I wanna hit them!

 

its not fucked up at all. some people don't like being around other people when high. i generally don't and it has nothing to do with trust issues. i like to be alone with my thoughts. i also like toking with friends some of the time. it all depends.

 

I really REALLY love having high people around me when im sober, really...! Specially at concerts, when I usually am the only sober person around, on the moshpit, and I really like seing happy high people moshing there or those stoned people constantly staring at the lightshows, with this kindof face -->

I personally like to trip out with my friends and have a good time, but there is also those times when I like to just sit back by myself toke up a bowl and relax.

 

I think some people have a problem with not feeling totally "incontrol" of a situation. Especially if said person isn't used to being high. But, as everything, there's a lot of stuff to factor in. I mean, for me anyway, being around a group of my close friends and being stoned out of my mind is no big deal - hell, even if I'm not stoned or they are, it just doesn't matter, we're close enough that it's all good. BUT, there are totally some people who I just don't like fucked up around.. mostly because I don't trust them and I'm not a big fan of smoking up people with shitty karma

 

It wouldn't be so bad if some of my not stoner friends weren't such assholes when I am high, for once I would like to hang with a sober friend that will just attempt to go on with life normally when I am high. Damn narcs

yeah i agree sober ppl deffenetly bring the atmosphere down wen tryin any drug. cause u cant just look at them and laugh an expect them to laugh along with u wen there sober. also it gets very fukin annoyin wen ur drunk as a skunk an sum sober idiot who dosnt want to drink just keeps hittin u on the head with an empty plastic bottle........thanx alot jonny!

some of my buddies that smoked but dont do it anymore said they felt like everything they said when they were high seemed stupid to them and they felt dumb (and i guess embarassed) for saying those things...not sure if thats what you were looking for but thats all i got

 

yeh the worst is when there is sober people.. and since theyre not under the influence they decide to ruin your own lik when your high or something try and scare you shitless. i hate those cunts.

 

Well I know 1 person I do not like to get high around because they become so fucking paranoid. I have a bit of sympathy for them but it's not like they are newbies or lightweights.

 

It sort of used to be like that for me. Back when I hadn't been smoking for very long I'd get really self concious around people I didn't know that well when I was stoned. It was weird because I'm not usually like that. But then once I was high I'd like think over everything I was saying and I just couldn't stop analyzing myself and how stupid I probably seemed. It really sucked. But now I'm just comfortable with it and I don't think about weird shit like that. I think it was just paranoia I hadn't gotten used to.

 

Can't get high around some people because I start to plan their dismemberment and subsequent splaying of their various parts on the wall as a piece of living art. :X That guy that hangs around in my head tells me that's just fine because they're really aliens from the 5th dimension and they like that kind of fun.

 

stoned ppl all get along
ive never seen or been within a group of stoned ppl and ever witnessed or heard of any problems, you are happy and chilled mellowed out when are stoned, stoned ppl all get along, happy, laughing, chilling out

drunk ppl get mean and always want to fight, not stoned ppl

being high all alone is no where as much fun as being a circle of other high ppl,

group high times rule, period

i defenitley agree with randy on this one. id rather share my weed with 5 of my best friends then smoke weed and be sittin there with 5 sober friends killin my high.

 

Smoking alone and smoking with other people to me are quite different highs. Smoking alone tends to be more thought invoked and meditative, while smoking with others is more fun and laugh induced. Since I don’t really have anyone to smoke with I tend to smoke alone and I like it that way too. Of course when I’m around friends that smoke, I’d smoke them up and then all chill together and have fun



If a person is someone I feel comfortable enough getting high with then being high with them is awesome. However if the person is someone who I do not really know or trust it might be a bit different.



While being high, the mood definitely is better when the people around you are also high, rather then sober and putting you down.
