they are half aussie and half english actually. 2 of them live in england and sound like pom-hybrids and the other 2 live in oz and sound aussie. im of a very multicultural breed. i moved to a less populated city in oz and it's affecting my speech in a bad way. my canadian friends get up me cos i say beeyah instead of beer. even to my ears it sounds bad.

 

I have an aussie friend who says beeyah she also says "hey!?" whenever she didn't catch what was said.
she lives in Townsville.
