anybody hear about this federal minimum mandatory sentences for life sentences for people who have their third possession charge? it's kind of like the "three strikes" rule in california. whats everybodys opinion on this? anyone know the real deal? i live in michigan
i'm pretty sure, yeah. i'm not sure if those laws apply to michigan. i've tried to look it up but there doesn't seem to be a clear definition on repeat offenses for state by state. www.norml.org just has one punishment per state but doesnt have info on repeat offense.
I think that the law is mostly for dealing offenses. I doubt it would refer to people arrested with a joint on them or something.
I agree. Three strikes rules can be very important, and I feel there should be one for weapons charges or violent crimes. However, no drug user or dealer should ever get arrested, while drugs are being prohibited. We are all in this together until the madness is over.
which would be a bit difficult, to get that kind of attention from feds you'd have to be moving some pretty large weights...
That's harcore, and fucked up. That American government of yours treat people like children. "I told you no! Don't touch that Marijuana! No! No! You were caught, go sit in the corner!"
Fuck that shit! I cant even imagine that. Ohio is decriminalized so thats just messed up. They need to legalize it already not try to stop it!!!
i went to ask .com and cali is the only state with 3 strike rules anyother state where u get caught ur punishment increases depending on how the judge is feeling
