I'd start a salon. High quality/low cost kind of thing. I love salons.

Why do you always have to go to super cuts? Too good for regular cuts, huh

I don't go to Super Cuts. I'm too poor for salon stuff anymore, so my best friend is going to beauty school and he does my hair for me. :)

I'd buy a charming, derelict property in a stunning, touristy area and convert it into a backpacker's hostel or B&B.

Haha, it was a joke from the Simpsons. I guess no one watches that show anymore. I think it would be fun to run a salon. I'd hate to be a waxer though.

And I didn't start this thread to be an asshole...?

I think i might start up an organization that goes around and tears down old piece of shit brokedown burned out dilapidated houses and structures and builds brand new ones in their place.

and fixes up the ones that are still livable.

If you can compose, as in you can write both lyrics and music, but aren't much of a performer, there is a market for you. I know people who write music for country singers, etc... and yeah, if you get big doing that it's really all about promotion and selling the performer. But if you write lyrics and can't play an instrument, you're going to have a lot of trouble... if you can at least sing, that's another story.

Personally, before I started working with a guitarist and learning guitar myself, I could never really do much with the lyrics I wrote, even though I am a pro vocalist.
I wrote entire songs without music that I basically had to use as inspiration for songs once I started making music.. if that makes any sense. It's really damn hard to take a piece of writing and write music for it, it's much easier to take a piece of music and write for it. 'course it's not impossible, I was actually freestyling a different melody to Bohemian Rhapsody the other day :p
