anyone have any positive/ negative stories to do with "pleatt and neglect" for caucasian hair, as it seems like a sensible option to me, but i'm struggling to find any information about this method

I have seen them before and think they look awesome. Even tried to do one in my own hair in some of the loose hair I have but even after crocheting the end of it, it fell out. I have super straight, fine hair. If you have curly hair, I think you would have a lot more success with this method. Somewhere in the inspiration thread I think there is this white lady that has them and they look so nice.

By "pleat" I think you mean what I would call "braid" :) If so, the method has worked very well for me, especially in places where my hair is courser & curlier.

What does this look like after time? I still don't get it. So half the hair is braided and the top or new growth is what dreads?
